Forum Rules

General
The forums on ThaiMassageGuiden contain posts submitted directly by the users themselves, without prior review by ThaiMassageGuiden. For this to work, those who post must stay within certain boundaries and rules. By registering as a member and posting, you agree to the forum rules, to stay informed, and to comply with future updates to the forum rules. ThaiMassageGuiden reserves the right to amend the forum rules as needed. The current forum rules are always available on ThaiMassageGuiden.

Discussion topics
Topics should be posted in the appropriate forum. See the pinned top thread in each specific forum.

Atmosphere
The forum should be a place for debate with a friendly tone and generally enriching content. Everyone should feel welcome to participate in the forums. Therefore, choose your words carefully. Following general netiquette is considered good manners, and failure to do so may result in suspension. You may not post anything disruptive, offensive, vulgar, hateful, threatening, sexually suggestive, or anything that could potentially violate any applicable law. Avoid personal attacks and insults.

Stay on topic
Stay on topic when replying to a post. Going off-topic to some extent is allowed, but should be reasonable in proportion to the subject.

Inappropriate content
- It is not permitted to express or spread threats or contempt on the forum toward a group of people based on appearance, race, skin color, national or ethnic origin, religious belief, sexual orientation, or gender identity.

- Requests for staff with a particular sexual orientation, gender identity, or body type are not allowed, with the exception of male and female. These factors have nothing to do with massage.

- Posts with derogatory or offensive comments toward other forum participants will not be accepted. Generally, you should treat others with respect. Resorting to profanity or derogatory comments during disagreements is not a good idea.

- You may obviously not infringe on anyone else's copyright.

- Posts regarding porn/smut/sex requests are not allowed. For this purpose, there are more suitable internet forums that specialize in such content. It is enough for someone to find a post like those mentioned above offensive for it to be removed. For example: the size of girls' breasts has nothing to do with massage.

- No disrespect may be shown toward the King of Thailand or the Thai royal family. We do not discuss the Thai king or other members of the royal family and their ancestors.

- Do not share personal information
Do not discuss specific individuals by name. It is normally illegal to disclose the names and contact details of other persons on public internet forums (PUL/Personal Data Act).

- Avatars and signatures
Your avatar and signature must follow the same guidelines that apply to posts. Avatars and signatures perceived as offensive may result in suspension from the forums. Avoid disruptive slogans, advertising, etc. in your signature. Animated avatars should be avoided.

Advertising, promotion, and marketing
of commercial products/services is not allowed on the forums. If you want to promote, sell, or solicit something, you can do so by purchasing ad space on the site. Posting advertisements or so-called spam on the forums is prohibited. If the discussion calls for it, you may mention tips about good salons. You may have a link to your own website in your signature (provided that the website in question is not commercial and that its content does not violate what may be discussed on our forums). You may not earn money or receive points from any such link. Trading goods and services on the forum is prohibited. The exception is ads in Job Search, which may include requests for staff as well as inquiries about employment and the rental/purchase/sale of salons.

Tips, links, and references.
Members are welcome to share tips and links to salons that may be helpful and of interest to other visitors. Tips and links must be independent, meaning the person posting must not have a promotional connection to the business/product/service. Tips that are not relevant to the forum may not be posted. You may not, in your post, request that someone only PM, email, or call you privately to receive the tip/recommendation. If a member predominantly makes posts intended to advertise their own website, this is considered SPAM (see the section Advertising, promotion, and marketing above).

Logging, moderation, and word filtering
For all posts made on the forum, the author's IP address is saved in order to enforce these terms. You also agree that the webmaster, administrator, and moderators have the right to remove, edit, move, or close any post at any time. As a member, you agree that all information you have entered will be stored in the database. This information will not be distributed to any third party without your consent. The webmaster, administrator, or moderators cannot be held liable in the event of hacking attempts that may result in data being stolen.

Suspension
If you violate the forum rules or applicable legislation, it may result in you being temporarily or permanently suspended from the Forum and/or ThaiMassageGuiden.

Moderator decisions
The moderators work without pay and do a great job. Sometimes situations arise where someone questions a moderator's decision. A moderator's decision cannot be appealed, either to the Admin or to the moderator themselves. (As a matter of principle, the Admin never interferes with moderators' decisions.) If you feel you have been treated unfairly by a moderator, you should contact him/her with a PM and calmly explain your view of what happened. Moderator decisions should not be discussed on the forum.

Language
The forum's languages are Swedish and English.
Thai is accepted to some extent under the "Job Search" Forum, however an English or Swedish equivalent must also be included in the same post. This is to make the moderator's job easier.

No other languages are permitted.
